Strengthening Thailand – Cambodia Investment Ties: The Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia aims to foster greater investment and enhance connectivity linkage to boost Thai investment in Cambodia with Deputy Prime Minister and the First Vice-Chairman of the Council for Development of Cambodia.
On September 2, 2024, H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, the Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, paid a farewell call on H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC). During this meeting, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of boosting Thai investment in Cambodia by removing trade and investment barriers, enhancing ease of doing business in Cambodia, and developing infrastructure that fosters stronger connections between the two countries.
Ambassador Cherdkiat emphasized Cambodia's immense economic potential and the need for closer cooperation. He also underscored the significance of transportation infrastructure, particularly rail connections, to reduce logistics costs and strengthen regional supply chains.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol highlighted the on going bilateral cooperation for example the road improvement on NR67 and NR68 as well as the Cambodia-Thailand Friendship Bridge at Stung Bot - Ban Nong Ian. He also affirmed Cambodia's commitment to attracting foreign investors, especially from its close neighbour. He assured that the Cambodian government is ready to further facilitate trade and investment, paving the way for even greater economic collaboration between the two countries.

កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ២ ខែ កញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ ២០២៤ ឯកឧត្តមឈើតកៀត អត្ថាករ ឯកអគ្គរាជទូតថៃប្រចាំកម្ពុជាបានចូលជួបសម្តែងការគួរសមឯកឧត្តម ស៊ុន ចាន់ថុល ឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី អនុប្រធានទី ១ ក្រុមប្រឹក្សាអភិវឌ្ឍន៍កម្ពុជា ក្នុងឱកាសជម្រាបលាមុនឯកឧត្តមបញ្ចប់បេសកកម្មការទូតនៅកម្ពុជា ដោយភាគីទាំងពីរបានសង្កត់ធ្ងន់លើប្រធានបទការជំរុញការវិនិយោគរបស់ថៃនៅកម្ពុជាឲ្យបានកាន់តែច្រើនឡើងថែមទៀត ដោយឯកឧត្តមឯកអគ្គរាជទូតបានលើកយកប្រធានបទដែលទាក់ទិនជាមួយការបង្កលក្ខណៈងាយស្រួលដល់ពាណិជ្ជករ និងវិនិយោគិននៅកម្ពុជា ការលុបបំបាត់ឧបស្គគឬរនាំងពាណិជ្ជកម្ម និងវិនិយោគ ការជំរុញការតភ្ជាប់ និងហេដ្ឋារចនាសម្ព័ន្ធគមនាគមន៍ដឹកជញ្ជូន ជាពិសេសការតភ្ជាប់ផ្លូវដែកដែលអាចកាត់បន្ថយដើមទុនភស្ដុភារ និងការតភ្ជាប់ខ្សែចង្វាក់ផ្គត់ផ្គង់ (Supply Chain) ដើម្បីការផលិត និងដាក់ពង្រាយទំនិញនៅក្នុងតំបន់។
ឯកឧត្តមឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ក៏បានសង្កត់ធ្ងន់ផងដែរចំពោះកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការជាមួយប្រទេសថៃរហូតមកដល់ពេលបច្ចុប្បន្ននេះដែលមាន ដូចជា ការជួសជុល និងលើកកម្ពស់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ ៦៧ និង ៦៨ និងស្ពានមិត្តភាពកម្ពុជា - ថៃ (ស្ទឹងបត់ - បានណងអៀន) កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការអភិវឌ្ឍផ្លូវដែក ព្រមទាំងបង្ហាញនូវគោលបំណងចង់ឲ្យវិនិយោគិនថៃចូលមកបណ្តាក់ទុនកាន់តែច្រើនឡើងថែមទៀតដោយសារតែជាប្រទេសជិតខាងមានភាពជិតស្និតនឹងគ្នា និងបង្ហាញនូវការត្រៀមលក្ខណៈសម្បត្តិនៅក្នុងការបង្កលក្ខណៈងាយស្រួលក្នុងវិស័យពាណិជ្ជកម្ម និងវិនិយោគរវាងគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមកឲ្យកាន់តែប្រសើរឡើងថែមទៀត៕
