On 31 August 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, in collaboration with the Thai Business Council in Cambodia (TBCC), hosted Thai Community Sports Day 2024 at the Royal Phnom Penh Hospital's sports complex. The event aimed at strengthening relationships, fostering solidarity, and building resilience within Thai community in Cambodia, with over 200 participants attending.

 

Sports event included football, chairball, badminton, and fun games which added to the event a spirit of camaraderie among Thais living in Cambodia. Towards the end of the event, awards were presented to athletes and cheering team.

 

The Thai community took the opportunity to bid farewell to Ambassador Cherdkiat Atthakor and his spouse as the Ambassador is set to retire in September. The event also included an introduction of the Consul-General in Siem Reap and officials from the Consulate-General in Siem Reap to the Thai community.
