TRANSIT VISA

REQUIREMENTS

This type of visa lets you stayin Thailand for no more than 30 days and is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes:

1. To transit in Thailand (changing planes but not leaving the airport, not going through immigration), where the transit time is more than 12 hours (sub-category "TS") (if transit time is less than 12 hours, then no visa is required)

2. To enter Thailand while waiting to proceed to country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country. You can leave the airport (go through Thai immigration) but cannot stay in Thailand more than 30 days (sub-category "TS") 

3. To participate in sports activities or competitions where you are staying in Thailand for less than 30 days (sub-category "S")
**For those who are scheduled to stay in the Kingdom longer than 30 days, please contact the relevant sport authority in Thailand in order to apply for a Non-Immigrant B Visa

4. The person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in the Kingdom (sub-category "C")

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months
2. Visa application form completely filled out and signed
3. Recent 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm photograph of the applicant
4. Evidence of travel out of Thailand (i.e. air ticket receipt paid in full) within 30 days of intended entry
5. Evidence of adequate finance for the entire duration of stay in Thailand (at least 500 USD per person or 1,000 USD per family)

Visa Processing Fee

35 USD per entry

Double entry transit visa (70 USD applicaiton fee) may be issued if you need to transit through Thailand twice (to go to your destination and back). Please provide relevant flight booking evidence. 

Processing Time

3 working days (i.e. apply on Monday morning and pick up on Wednesday afternoon)
