On 22 February 2023, H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, led a delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy to pay a courtesy call upon H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia, on the occasion of assuming his position.

Both sides welcomed the close relations between the two countries and expressed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation in the fields of education and sports, including  Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Royal Thai Scholarship and other scholarship programmes, curriculum development for teaching and learning Thai language at the Royal University of Phnom Penh and the National University of Battambang, and capacity building through sports activities, in order to strengthen relations between both countries and peoples for sustainable development.
