On 13 March 2023, H.E. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, and H.E. Mang Sineth, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, presided over the opening ceremony of the Training Course on Water Rescue for personnel of Preah Sihanouk Province, which is held between 13-17 March 2023 in Preah Sihanouk.
The training is supported and co-organised by Preah Sihanouk Province, the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, the Royal Thai Navy, Bangkok Hospital Chanthaburi, and Royal Phnom Penh Hospital, with a view to enhancing the capacity of lifeguards and personnel of Preah Sihanouk Province on water rescue both at swimming pools and in ocean or open water areas. The five-day training is conducted by experienced instructors and a supporting team from the Royal Thai Navy and Bangkok Hospital Chanthaburi.
Preah Sihanouk Province plays an important part in the development of Cambodia with its strategic location and landscape favourable for economic activities and growing tourism connecting coastal provinces of Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The water rescue training would ensure safety of tourism in the Province and encourage more incoming local and international tourists, which will greatly benefit Thailand and Cambodia under the established “Two Kingdoms, One Destination” programme. Moreover, it would help strengthen the capacity of provincial personnel for important international sports events. The cooperation on the training also highlights the importance of enhancing close collaboration on disaster management, including emergency response operation and disaster relief.

វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្ដាលដើម្បីអភិវឌ្ឍន៍សិក្ខាកាមក្នុងខេត្តព្រះសីហនុនៅក្នុងការជួយសង្គ្រោះអាយុជីវិតជនរងគ្រោះខាងផ្លូវទឹកនៅនាពេលនេះជាការសហការរួមគ្នារវាង រដ្ឋបាលខេត្តព្រះសីហនុ ស្ថានឯកអគ្គរាជថៃប្រចាំកម្ពុជា យោធាជើងទឹកថៃ មន្ទីរពេទ្យបាងកកចន្ទថៈប៊ុរី និងមន្ទីរពេទ្យរ៉ូយ៉ាល់ភ្នំពេញ បុត្រ សម្ព័ន្ធនៃក្រុមហ៊ុនក្រុងថេបឌុសិតវេចឆៈកាន ចាំកាត់ ដើម្បីពង្រឹងនូវសក្ដានុភាពរបស់មន្ត្រីនៃខេត្តព្រះសីហនុឲ្យមានចំនេះដឹង សមត្ថភាព និងជំនាញនៅក្នុងការជួយសង្គ្រោះអាយុជីវិតជនរងគ្រោះខាងផ្លូវទឹកទាំងនៅក្នុងស្រះទឹក និងសមុទ្រជាប់ឆ្នេរ ដោយរួមបញ្ចូលទាំងការថែទាំនិងចល័តជនរងគ្រោះនៅក្នុងស្ថានការណ៍អាសន្ន ដោយវគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្ដាលនេះមានទាំងទ្រឹស្ដីនិងការអនុវត្តទាំងក្នុងស្រះទឹកនិងសមុទ្រជាប់ឆ្នេរ ដែលទទួលខុសត្រូវបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលដោយមន្ត្រីដែលមានចំណេះដឹង ជំនាញ និងបទពិសោធន៍របស់យោធាជើងទឹករបស់ថៃ និងមន្ទីរពេទ្យបាងកកចន្ទថៈប៊ុរី។
