On 15 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy held an orientation session for Cambodian youth who are learning Thai language with the support from the Embassy. The Thai language learning project is a part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of Thai-Cambodian diplomatic relation, with the aims to enhance language skills, broaden perspectives, and provide educational and career opportunities for Cambodian children in need. The event was attended by 34 students interested in learning Thai from Acting for Women in Distressing Situations (AFESIP) and Cambodian Community Children’s Home (CCCH).
On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Tull Traisorat, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, underscored that Thailand and Cambodia being neighboring countries, learning each other's language is fundamental to building mutual understanding and strengthening people
to people relationship, which are the foundation for cooperation in trade, investment, and tourism, bringing the two countries closer, especially during the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of Thailand-Cambodia diplomatic relations this year.
Additionally, the Ambassador expressed appreciation to the speakers at the event (Miss Sroy Longyin and Mr. ENG Tola), Thai university alumni in Cambodia, who provided guidance on Thai language learning, education and career opportunities, as well as shared their education and working experiences with the young participants. The Ambassador also thanked Bangkok Language School for supporting the Thai language curriculum. The Ambassador praised the students for their dedication and commitment to learning Thai, encouraging them to pursue not only academic excellence but also to uphold high moral values.
