On 1 December 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy organised a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and Thailand’s Father’s Day. In attendance were high-level representatives from the government sector, the private sector, the academia, the civil society, as well as the diplomatic corps, and Thai businesses in Cambodia. H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia joined the event as the guest of honour. H.E. Mr. Sutin Klangsaeng, Minister of Defence of Thailand, who were in Cambodia for his official visit, also joined the event.

During the reception, the internationally renowned Korphai Ensemble, which is a group of Thai musicians led by Mr. Anant Narkkong and other multi-talented members, were invited to perform a set of traditional Thai music together with a Thai traditional dance from Ramayana. The Embassy also invited Thai restaurants and companies in Cambodia to showcase their products and services at the reception.
