On 1 February 2023, H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, led a delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy to pay a courtesy call upon Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Cambodia, on the occasion of assuming his position.

He stressed the importance of facilitating the border crossing between both countries, strengthening security cooperation to fight against transnational crimes, including call centres, online scams, human trafficking, illegal border crossing, and drug trafficking, and extending cooperation on disaster relief and management. Ambassador Cherdkiat also expressed his gratitude to Samdech Sar Kheng for the assistance in rescuing Thai victims of human trafficking and returning them to their homeland. He hoped that the Cambodian authorities will continue to cooperate with the Embassy in taking care of these victims and expediting their repatriation.
