On 12 August 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh and the Thai community in Cambodia jointly held a Buddhist Chanting Ceremony and an Alms Giving Ceremony on the auspicious occasion of the 86th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign. The ceremonies were presided over by His Holiness Samdech Preah Agga Maha Sangharajadhipati TEP VONG, the Great Supreme Patriach of the Mahanikaya Order of the Kingdom of Cambodia, accompanied by a delegation of 8 monks. Many members of the Thai community in Cambodia attended the events and have contributed to the Alms Giving Ceremony.
