On 30 May 2018, Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Ambassador paid a courtesy call on H.E.Mr. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister, during which both sides noted the good cooperation between two countries and discussed issues including trade, tourism, education, labour and connectivity. Both sides also concurred that the good relations between Thailand and Cambodia depends on the relation between the peoples of the two countries.
 

Ambassador commended the close cooperation between Thailand's Ministry of Labour and Cambodia's Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and in response, H.E. Mr. Hor Namhong thanked the Royal Thai Government for facilitating the Cambodian Workers working in Thailand with favorable conditions

 

Moreover H.E. Mr. Hor Namhong expressed gratitude for HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for developing Kampong Speu Institute of Technology and Kampong Chheuteal Institute of Technology, granting more than 1,000 scholarships for Cambodian students to study in Thailand, and helping Cambodia fight against malaria in Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri provinces.
 

H.E. Mr. Hor Namhong was Foreign Minister of of Cambodia during 2006 - 2013.
