1. Requirements for passport holders of: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, 
    Cabo Verde, Chad, Comoros, Cote d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, 
    Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Mozambique, 
    Namibia, Niger, 
Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, 
    Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Applicants with residency in Cambodia should provide proof of residence, such as Cambodian visas, Cambodian work permit, proof of long-term accommodation, work contract, school/university confirmation of enrolment, immigration stamps showing applicant has been in Cambodia for the majority of the past 6 months etc. Application consideration will take at least 3 working days: 

If the applicant is not a resident in Cambodia, the application will be subject to approval from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, which takes at least one month. Therefore, the applicant is advised to apply for a visa at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy for faster consideration times. (This requirement may be waived for applicants under 18 years old at the discretion of the consular officer)

2. Requirements for passport holders of:

2.1 Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, 

2.2 Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Yemen

2.3 Algeria, Egypt, Libya, , Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, 
    Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Ghana, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan

Applicants with residency in Cambodia should provide proof of residence, such as Cambodian visas, Cambodian work permit, proof of long-term accommodation, work contract, school/university confirmation of enrolment, immigration stamps showing applicant has been in Cambodia for the majority of the past 6 months and plans to return to Cambodia after leaving Thailand. Application consideration will take at least 3 working days: 

If the applicant is not a resident in Cambodia, the application will be subject to approval from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, which takes at least one month. Applicants must provide the following additional documents, regardless of residency

   2.1 Three passport-sized photo (4x6 cm) taken within 6 months, size 4x6 cm.

   2.2 Confirmed round-trip ticket or confirmed ticket showing a transit in Thailand.

   2.3 Confirmation letter from applicant's employer

   2.4 Evidence of adequate finance (equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family in any currency)

3. Requirements for passport holders of People's Republic of China

3.1 For short term travel to Thailand of less than 90 days (tourism, work meetings, short courses)

Applicants should provide proof of residence, such as Cambodian visas, Cambodian work permit, proof of long-term accommodation, work contract, school/university confirmation of enrolment, immigration stamps showing applicant has been in Cambodia for the majority of the past 6 months and plans to return to Cambodia after leaving Thailand. Application consideration will take at least 3 working days: 

3.2 For those intending to stay in Thailand for longer than 90 days (taking up employment, school/university students, Thai family)

All applications (regardless of residency) will be subject to approval from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, which takes at least one month.

4. Requirements for passport holders of Nigeria

Same requirements as 2. All applicantions must be made in person. 

Additionally, applicants with residency in Cambodia must also provide a Cambodia police certificate issued in the past 6 months that has been translated and certified by the Ministry of Justice of Cambodia. 

Applicants who are not a resident in Cambodia must also provide a Certificate of Clearance issued by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency of Nigeria  (NDLEA) that has been certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria and the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja in the past 6 months. Applications will be subject to approval from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, which takes at least one month. (This requirement may be waived for applicants under 18 years old in emergency cases at the discretion of the consular officer)

5. Requirements for passport holders of Afghanistan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Iraq

All applicantions, regardless of applicant's residency, will be subject to approval from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, which takes at least one month. (This requirement may be waived for applicants under 18 years old in emergency cases at the discretion of the consular officer)

Applicants must provide the following additional documents, regardless of residency

   5.1 Three passport-sized photo (4x6 cm) taken within 6 months, size 4x6 cm.

Passport Holders of Afghanistan may apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad or the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Karachi for faster processing times.
