On 20 October 2021, Mr. Pichit Boonsud, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy represented Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand at the handover ceremony of educational equipment to Department of Thai, the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). Dr. Oum Ravy, Vice Rector of the RUPP in charge of International Relations, was present at the ceremony as representative of the RUPP.

TICA, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, provides educational equipment which includes LCD projectors, laptops, digital cameras, webcams, headphones, and printers to support the efforts of the Department in the teaching of Thai language under the Project on “Curriculum   Development for Teaching and Learning Thai Language”. The Project aims to meet the increasing demand from commercial, public and volunteer sectors requiring professionals with advanced skills in Thai.

The long-standing cooperation in education sector between Thailand and Cambodia through academic institutions reflects the close bonds of friendship as well as the goodwill between the two neighbouring countries and its peoples.
