On 9 May 2024 H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, welcomed a delegation of professors and master and PHD students from the History Department, Faculty of Social Science, Srinakharinwirot University, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, on the occasion of their study visit to Cambodia. The Ambassador shared his view about the value of learning and understanding history to better understand the complexity of a relationship between neighbouring countries. Understanding history can help analyse the presence and lead to strengthening relations in the future, as well as promoting mutual trust and understanding among the people for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

Faculty of Social Science, Srinakharinwirot University has recently introduced a new curriculum which is designed to equip students from diverse professional backgrounds with critical thinking skills enabling them to integrate historical knowledge into their current professions. Srinakharinwirot University welcomes the application from international students and encourages interested Cambodian students to pursue their study at the University. The Faculty has a long-established academic cooperations with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia as well as various universities in Cambodia.
