Thailand and Cambodia Continue to Strengthen Cooperation on Buddhism
On 26 September 2024, H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia, paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Chay Borin, Minister of Cults and Religion of Cambodia, on the occasion of the completion of his tenure.
During the discussion, both sides expressed their commitment to continuing cooperation on Buddhism, including the exchange of monks and Buddhist personnel for the study of Buddhism, organizing joint activities, and participating in important Buddhist ceremonies.
On this occasion, the Thai Ambassador handed over two Buddhist books: (1) Compilation of Sangha Declarations and (2) Buddhist Dictionary, totaling 10,000 copies, the printing of which was supported by the Embassy for the Ministry of Cults and Religion to distribute to monks as well as Cambodian people.
