Handover Ceremony of Manual Guideline for Climate Resilience on Fruit and Vegetable Crops in Cambodia

On 30 November 2021, Mr. Pichit Boonsud, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy represented Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand at the handover ceremony of Manual Guideline for Climate Resilience on Fruit and Vegetable Crops in Cambodia to the General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia. Mr. Prak Cheattho, Deputy Director General of the GDA, was present at the ceremony as representative of the GDA.

 

TICA, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture  of Thailand, provides 970 copies of the Manual Guideline for Climate Resilience on Fruit and Vegetable Crops in Cambodia in English – Khmer languages to GDA, to be distributed to Provincial Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (PDAFF) in Battambang and Siem Reap, the National University of Battambang and Build Bright University, in order to share lesson learned on farming in Cambodia under the Project on Promoting Climate Resilience in Farming Communities of Cambodia”. The Project aims to enhance the ability of farming communities in Battambang and Siem Reap to adapt to the impacts of climate change.

 

The project was selected as one of the good practices to promote the SDG13 (Climate action) and was published in the third volume of the publication series “Good Practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development” launched by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).
